Help Make It Happen

In April 2025, we intend to row across the full Pacific Ocean: 9,000 miles non-stop and unsupported. In doing so we aim to break multiple world records and become the fastest ever to do so. The purpose behind this challenge: raise £1 million to provide at least 30,000 people in developing countries with clean water for life.

Rare Whisky 101 Pacific Row

We are three brothers from Edinburgh who are preparing to row 9,000 miles across the full Pacific Ocean. The Rare Whisky 101 Pacific Row will be an independent, non-stop and unsupported row across the largest body of water in the world.

Three Brothers

We are a team of three brothers from Scotland

Ewan Maclean

Oldest Brother

Ewan is an engineer at Dyson. He invents things that don't yet exist. He's in charge of all electronics and tech aboard our boat.

Jamie Maclean

Middle Brother

Jamie runs a small design and build practice in Glasgow. He's fascinated with how things are designed, made, how things can be improved.

Lachlan Maclean

Youngest Brother

Lachlan has a background in philosophy and currently manages The Maclean Foundation. The mediator of the brothers, he keeps the ship steady on its course.

Our goal is to raise £1 million for clean water projects.
